KYZA SMIRNOFF

Kyza Smirnoff has been in the hip hop scene for many years and has worked with a myriad of people from Jehst to Dj Vadim, to Wretch 32 to Foreign Beggars. As a co-founder of Terra Firma and one quarter of the Orphans of Cush, he has had a lengthy and noted journey through the scene. With the release of multiple projects on the horizon, Kyza is keen to keep doing what he loves and does best. Burn beats, manhandle mics and destroy stages.

IRON BRAYDZ

Iron Braydz has already collaborated with many of his influences including M1 of Dead Prez, Public Enemy, Saigon, Immortal Technique and RZA of Wu-Tang Clan. On record or on stage he always brings an intensity driven by his immense passion and energy for hip hop which has seen him stand out amongst others in the UK to solidify his presence firmly within UK hip hop.

The London Apprenticeship Company has teamed up with the National Apprenticeship Service and Hackney Council to deliver the East End Apprenticeship Project.  The partnership aims to create 50 Apprenticeships in five weeks by engaging with employers in and around the
City and East End of London– a potential youth unemployment ‘hot -spot’ – by facilitating the recruitment of local talented young people into local jobs.

Hip Hop legends Cappo & Nappa have recently signed to King Underground Records as a duo and will be performing exclusive tracks taken from the forthcoming album, ‘Rebelbase’. Keep an eye out for the first single called ‘Red Hot’, which drops later in 2013.

Granville Sessions are a fully live Hip Hop band out of London who have a wide range of influences. They are known for an impressive live show and have played with the likes of Congo Natty, Necro and Pharoahe Monch to name a few. Since dropping their debut release ‘No State’ in 2011 they have developed and progressed and they are now gearing up for the release of their first full length LP ‘Forward’ which will drop later this year. Granville deliver a healthy combination of nang rhyme styles,sample based productions and live instrumentation; a must-see for any discerning Hip Hop head.

Mr Thing & Spin Doctor are going to go back to back in a 2.5 hour Biggie tribute set mixing his classics tracks, guest verses, remixes & original breaks. Expect to hear not only the classics you already know and love but a selection of lesser known bangers!

As ever residents Mo Fingaz & Chris P Cuts will supplying the heat old and new while running room 2 will be the Extra Classic collective. Having represented many a session with their sweet selection of Dancehall, Reggae, Lovers Rock & Soul, it’s always a pleasure to hear them play. On the night will be Al Fingers and Disorda on the decks laying down a strictly vinyl arsenal, combined with the charismatic style and fashion of the legendary Seanie T on the mic. Archers Mark are partnering with Year Here to help provide guidance and advice in filming the tough realities of disadvantaged children, elderly care residents and those without a home. The social enterprise are currently on the hunt for 12 young people to take part on their scheme which will run from the streets of Shoreditch to across London. It is a 6-month programme consisting of a 4 month frontline service placement working day-to-day with beneficiaries mentioned above.Then, the ensuing 2 months will be learning professional experience through working with our partners such as Social Business Investment and Enabling Enterprise and also coming up with a real solution with funding of £2500 in an entrepreunerial project that allows our fellows to prototype and truly see if their ideas can work.
